“Wendy Sue Lamm's vision...does not so much frame the scene as enter into it, drawing us in as well and forcing us to participate... It is hard not to see these truly intense images as a powerful metaphor for the forces that tenaciously block the road to peace - a peace that would be a great sign not only for the Middle East, but also for the whole world.”
--Giancarlo Pauletto, Curator, Museum of Modern Art, Pordenone, Italy

On the heels of Secretary of State Clinton’s visit to the Middle East and the Israeli campaign in Gaza, photographer Wendy Sue Lamm offers an intimate perspective of everyday people caught up in world shattering events. Based on her internationally acclaimed book “From the Land of Miracles,” this extraordinary new photo exhibition opens April 30th at The Perfect Exposure Gallery in Los Angeles.

Assigned to Jerusalem beginning in 1994, Ms. Lamm has captured the heart and soul of Israeli and Palestinian life—the anguish and anger, hopes and fears—in a series of sensitive photographs that earned two World Press Photo Awards and the National Press Photographers Picture of the Year Honors.

Ms. Lamm’s work is exhibited in numerous museums and galleries in Europe and Asia, including Stockholm Stadsmuseet, Milan’s FORMA International Center of Photography, the Louvre in Paris, and Japan’s Asahi Museum. It is featured in international publications, such as The New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, Elle, Geo, Der Spiegel, L’Espresso, Republica, and Figaro. Her portraiture is highly sought after by major recording and entertainment artists.
